There’s a new old bank in the U.S. It’s called TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank.
TD Bank is a Canadian bank. A very successful bank I might add, and it has been investing in - read buying up - U.S. banks. Some recent purchases include Commerce Bank headquartered in New Jersey, and it has the Maine based TD Banknorth operations. TD now has 1,100 locations from Maine to Florida currently under the names of Commerce and Banknorth. But not for long as the new TD Bank logo and positioning line, America’s Most Convenient Bank will be on all branches within a week.
Man, I wonder how many customers realize that the bank profits go into Canada? But then, how many shareholders of TD are American?
It’s a global world we live in.
Oh, did I mention that Regis and Kelly and the spokepeople.
If you use the Internet, even rarely, you probably see the hype for making money online. If you haven’t you must live in a very special Internet world.
So the question is simply, can you and is it legal?
The answer is YES you can, and YES it is legal. But, can you make a lot of money - like enough to quit your day job? Very few will. But then again, isn’t that the same as the offline world. Very few will make a lot of money.
So let’s first look at how you make money online.

I have a friend that lives in the Muskokas (Georgian Bay area about 90 minutes north of Toronto, ON Canada) who is into photography. This picture, taken in the last couple of weeks in the area makes you want to just head for the lake and forget the rest of the world.
He has lots of pics that are pretty neat on his site, Camedia.com. Take a look.

Yesterday I spent a couple of hours watching people. I wandered around the Toronto ON downtown, stopped in a couple of coffee shops, several tourist attractions (CN Tower, Distillery, etc) and just people watched.
I was trying to see if there was obvious concern over the economy.
Granted, this was not a scientific poll, just a curious peek.

I rarely delve into politics or religion on this or any other public forum, but with all the attention that is being paid to terror groups and extremists, and even the state of world finances (especially the States and apparently because so much has been spent on fighting terror), I thought the following thoughts worth repeating here.
A German’s point of view on Islam
This is not about making money online (one of my favourite subjects), or traveling the country in an RV (another subject close to my heart), but instead it is about giving some thought to what is happening around us, and how we are responding to these things. Are we burying our heads in the sand? Are we saying that it can’t happen to us? Are we saying it is someone else’s problem? Are we even thinking about it, or are we so caught up in our own “self” that we are being led by others without even realizing it.
Take a read and let me know what you think.

When it comes to blogging, I’m a bit lazy.
I am into so many things, especially when it comes to the “how to” of making money online, that I sometimes don’t bother to update my blogs. Not updating your blog means that you get less attention from the search engines, and therefore fewer visitors.
Yes, blogging takes a lot of work.
But recently I found a great way to update my blogs, without RSS and without paying any money. This is truly a powerful new (and free) service.
It’s awesome!
If you use blogs as part of your traffic generating strategy (and you should) , you are going to love this.
No more struggling to find fresh, relevant, unique, quality blog content for all your blogs.
This new service does it ALL for you automatically… and best of all, it’s totally free.
I urge you to go sign up now and give it a try. You’ll find the info here:

It seems like the camcorder is such old technology these days. The new Flip video
is so easy to use and extremely handy for those quick video shots. Of course, the quality is somewhat limited, but what a great little camera for many uses.
I bought one and keep it in my pocket as I travel around. You never know when you’ll get the chance to use it.
The other aspect of these cameras, and this is an important one, is the ease of loading it to your computer and to the Net. Just flip out the USB connector on the side of the camera and it becomes a no-brainer. No big learning curve.
So now I have a cell phone with a camera, a camcorder and …. hmmmm - what’s next.
Have you looked at them yet?
Some will remember the song, War, What’s It Good For. This was/is a protest song about the Vietnam war sung by Edwin Starr (ho died in 2003). It was written by Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong. Whitfield was a Motown pioneer (he died September 16, 2008), writing some of the label’s biggest hits, including “I Heard It Through The Grapevine,” “Ain’t Too Proud To Beg” and “Papa Was A Rolling Stone.” Anyway, I digress.
The next hit will soon be, Phone Books, What Are They Good For?. Just the paper reduction alone is gigantic. The amount of money paid to the various yellow page directories is massive, while the use by citizens who need a phone number or a service is dropping like a concrete block in water.

I received a sales pitch this morning from someone pitching a “new” way to gear up and make money online. Three sentences in I read this …
“Maritza, who rote a book in 6 weeks (and who told me privately…”
ROTE! Wonder what rote a book is supposed to be. Surely it isn’t what the dictionary says. “The use of memory usually with little intelligence.”
And they expect intelligent people to react positively to their sales pitch?
Lesson learned: Check, then double check, then check again before you post or send an e-mail. Keep your credibility high. You can never be perfect, but you can always improve.
If you blog, you can get a free, neat little plugin to check spelling. Like any spelling checker, it won’t cover every word, but it can be a great help. You’ll find this plugin here.
I am an Internet Marketing junkie. No question about it. That’s probably why I do so well at it. It is also one of the reasons I love to show others how to earn some extra cash, or even become a full-timer Internet Marketer.
I have all kinds of domains that reflect my interests. Most point to a few sites, rather than each being a site on its own. Like "www.wjunkie.com", which stands for Wordpress Junkie. Then there is "www.affiliateincomejunkie.com"
Domains have several uses and I am going to talk about these in the days to come.
But, remember, once you get started making money online, you too will become a “junkie.”
